Pros & Cons
Pros
Privacy Display – Screen becomes invisible from the side but stays perfectly clear head-on, great for entering passwords or checking banking apps in public
Camera performance – 200MP main sensor with a wider aperture, ~47% brighter low-light shots, plus the new Super Steady video feature
Powerful processor – Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, noticeably faster than the previous generation, with a stronger NPU for AI tasks
Super fast charging – 65W charging gets you from 0 to 75% in about 30 minutes
1 Long-term software support – 7 years of OS updates and security patches promised
2 Slimmer, lighter design – Switching back to an aluminum frame makes it thinner and lighter than the titanium-bodied predecessor
3 Solid durability – Held up well in drop tests and passed water-resistance testing
4 Wider front camera – Easier to fit everyone into group selfies
Cons
1 No Qi2 magnetic wireless charging – Many competitors already have this; still missing here
2 Battery size unchanged – Still 5,000mAh, same as the past few generations
3 Price increase – Especially on the 512GB and 1TB variants compared to last year
4 Not a huge upgrade – Aside from Privacy Display, most things feel similar to the S25 Ultra, so it’s a tough sell if you already own one
5Risk of counterfeit/gray-market units – Some buyers reported receiving unofficial units missing the Privacy Display feature
Who Should Buy the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra ?
You should consider the Galaxy S26 Ultra if you want the best Samsung Android phone with a big display, premium camera system, Galaxy AI features, strong battery life, and S Pen productivity. It is especially good for creators, business users, students, photographers, travelers, and anyone who often uses their phone in public and wants better privacy.
It is also a great choice if you keep your phone for several years. The high-end hardware, large RAM, modern software, and flagship camera system make it feel future-ready.
Final Verdict:
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is a premium Android smartphone made for people who want more than the basics. Its biggest strengths are the Privacy Display, powerful camera system, Galaxy AI features, large 120Hz AMOLED screen, S Pen support, 5000mAh battery, and fast charging capability. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra isn’t reinventing the smartphone, but it doesn’t need to — it’s refining an already excellent formula with one feature that actually feels new: a built-in screen that can disappear from anyone not looking at it head-on. Add in a faster chip, a slightly lighter build, and best-in-class software support, and you get a phone that’s easy to recommend, even if it won’t blow away anyone who already owns last year’s model.
If you’re due for an upgrade and want a flagship that’ll hold up for years, this is one of the safest, most well-rounded picks on the market in 2026.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Some Real user opinions
“Additional features!!!!”
This phone is awesome! I love the additional features that regular standard phones usually do not have. The S Pen, AI features, extreme camera options, and large 6.9-inch screen make it feel premium and powerful.
There is only one small thing I am not 100% satisfied with, and that is the camera quality. Compared to my Samsung Galaxy A56, the photos on this phone do not always look as crisp.
On my Galaxy A56, the camera seems sharper, and the colors look more natural. With this phone, some pictures can look a little washed out or not true to their real color, even after adjusting the settings.
I want my photos and videos to look crisp, clear, and colorful every time I take them. Some pictures and videos I have taken with this phone still look good.
However, when I compare them with my Galaxy A56, the A56 feels better for clearer photos and videos. In my opinion, the A56 camera performs better in this area.
Overall, this is still a very nice phone to have. Even with the camera concern, I think it is worth the investment because it offers great features and a premium experience.
“Ahhh it’s good to be back!”
Absolutely above my expectations!
I have been using an iPhone for the past 3 years. Not because I wanted to, but because I wanted to make things easier for my wife and her family. But after swapping back to the S26 Ultra I realize how much I’ve missed Android and Samsung. The amount of customization, not just looks, but functionality, is something that I love about Samsung. From the color reproduction, resolution to extend battery life, privacy screen enable per app or notifications, instead of a Dynamic Island everything lives at the top bar and might not function the same way but it’s close enough. And the Good Lock app alone makes takes the whole experience to a new level.
The phone feels amazing in hand and feels like it is high quality. And durability is the same across the board. Don’t drop it, and you will be fine.paired mine with a MagBak case, which comes with a great screen protector.
For the asking price, this phone feels well worth it. Android also integrates very well with Windows, which makes daily use much easier. Since I also have a Samsung tablet, switching between the phone and tablet feels seamless.
Just not enough good things to say. For any iPhone users, simply take the time to learn the operating system and adapt your muscle memory and it will be fine. RCS chat makes sending high quality photos and videos simple, and Google Meet is a universal video calling app that makes it simple for everyone. Face Time is fine, but other apps do video calling better. Just stop being stubborn and enjoy what else can be had.
Anyway, hope this helps 🙂 it’s a great device!
“Its pretty good.”
So far, I like this phone. It has a useful feature that you can turn on so others cannot see your screen unless they are looking almost directly at it.
The S Pen no longer has remote camera control. I also wish the pen worked to flip through TikTok because that would make it more useful for daily use.
The phone feels lighter than my Galaxy S21. Samsung’s software is still forced on you, but I was able to disable most of it. However, it takes some experience.
Samsung brought back video calls in the phone app, which is a good feature. Transferring to a new phone is still a little clumsy, but Google’s data transfer is seamless.
I also want to see Photosphere in the camera app again. My phone arrived a day late, and I hope I am given credit for that.
I am not crazy about the protruding camera lenses. They seem like they could break easily, so the phone feels like it needs a case.
The audio is pretty good for a phone. Still, I do not think it is worth upgrading to this phone from a Galaxy S21.
I am keeping both phones for now. The Galaxy S21 is very durable, while this phone feels more fragile without a case.
Samsung is becoming more like Apple. At this point, there are just not many big differences between new phones.
